A day like today, (July), some years ago,
I took a step of faith
– and obedience–into the unknown: Adventure.
I changed my previous plans and went to Guernsey.
My english back then was so poor, I thought that, if I could get to live with native english speakers, it would help me to improve. Guernsey was the shot. To help my learning over there was a challenge, but to be in such a natural jewel was a gift to me. Much more, it was very special for me knowing that in this place lived one of my favorite writers. Victor Hugo even wrote Les Misérables, my favorite book, during his time of exile in this peculiar small but gorgeous island...!
I remember this trip, my couple-of-months over there as a God-meeting place. There, I learned to hear God's voice, in a new and very special way; cliffs, God and I. What a wonderful combination.
In the midst of the challenges I experienced in that season of my life, to learn to walk with God, much more, to realize that HE likes to walk–and hang out–with me was the most rewarding part.
Here, some images of my trip.
