Painting Artwork

A short presentation

Expressionist

style,

botanical

focus

My style tends to carry rough strocks, most often using black and a surface color, sometimes experimenting with bold colors as a side complement to the pieces, but overall of a minimal vibe.

Since I was a kid, I have had the tendency to paint in an expressionist way, avoiding refinement in painting refinement and being polished. Going from a card format to a wall size, or even painting objects.

In the last years I have been exploring the them of botanical elements, like leaves for instance, and sometimes also other nature representations, through different artistic mediums, but particularly through painting.

This focus came forth after experiencing certain life events that encouraged me to pursue a more uplifting scenery in my artwork. And why? Because nature does that, no matter how it is represented, it has the intrinsic gift of life woven into itself.
